The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.I've decided to switch my Sunday post from In My Mailbox to The Sunday Post meme so I can do a little more "newsy" stuff. This has been the craziest of weeks for me both at home and at work...I'll certainly be glad for things to get back to normal. All I've really had time for was to get some blog hops and blog tours posted, but I did get a review up for Amy Metz's wonderful Murder and Mayhem in Goose Pimple Junction. Seriously folks, this is one of the best books I've read this year...you just have to pick it up!!!
The upcoming week is the most exciting time of the month for us cozy readers...First Tuesday!!! Hit the bookstores on August 7th; this month's releases are something special! This week I'll be posting a review of Heather Blake's A Witch Before Dying, and a fun Q&A with Miss Heather. My guest blogger on Thursday will be Connie Archer, author A Spoonful of Murder, the first Soup Lover's Mystery. Her post is titled Creating Snowflake, Vermont. This topic was a special request by me, a lifelong Vermonter.
Of course no matter how busy I am, I always make time to look for new books. This is what I've picked up this week...
In my mailbox for review:
And while not a book, but completely related to my love of westerns, while browsing the DVD aisles of Walmart this week I grabbed up Season One of Deadwood for only $20. I've never seen the show but have heard so much about it that I'm very excited about this purchase!
