Black Friday Book Bonanza Giveaway Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Black Friday Book Bonanza Giveaway Hop, hosted by Heather from Book Savvy Babe, Jenn from The Bawdy Book Blog, and Lisa from Alive on the Shelves!

There will be a different book given away at each of the stops. At the bottom of this post are all the sites participating in the book hop. Make sure to visit (and follow) everyone and enter their giveaways! :-)

So, on to my part in the hop!

Do you have an animal lover on your gift list? Have I got the perfect book for you...Paws to Reflect: 365 Daily Devotions for the Animal Lover's Soul. It is hardcover and an absolutely beautiful gift book. Simply leave a comment telling me about a special pet or about your love of our four-legged friends with your email address so I can contact you...and if you choose to follow my blog I'll enter you in my giveaway twice. Good luck and have fun!!! (Open to US residents only.)

Book Blurb: Sometimes human communication falls short in conveying spiritual truth. God speaks through whatever means He chooses and often he chooses animals. Dogs teach unconditional love. The purr of a kitten can bring peace. Horses show us how to harness our strength with grace.

Paws to Reflect offers gentle daily reflections for those who seek to grow spiritually by observing the animal kingdom and all the lessons it teaches.

I am a pet lover. I have 3 rescue cats now, but my favorite story is about Dallas my girl Sheltie. She loved to get in our kitchen trash and one night I came home and she had a Lays potato chip bag stuck on her head. After I took a picture, I did remove the bag. She passed away at home one week from her 15th birthday. She will always be in my heart.

I love animals! That is the reason I became a vegetarian 16 years ago! I now have two sweet, wonderful black cats that are brother and sister. My children both have dogs. My son who is also an animal lover and a vegetarian is a teacher in the education department of our zoo. He not only teaches about the animals but also teaches about environmental issues.

I am an animal lover too. Like Carol M, that is why I am a vegetarian. I was eating a juicy hamburger and stopped mid-bite! I couldn't do it anymore. It has been 19 years for me.

I have had many wonderful dogs and cats in the past but now I have two cockateils, Squeaky and Speckles. They are both in there 20s and amaze the vet by their vigor each time she sees them. Even though I have birds, I love to read about dogs and cats.

I have three beautiful Pomeranians, and you are in luck! I just love talking about them! :) Here we go! Cosmos is the alpha male and is my shadow! He is definitely a momma's boy. He is four years old and a tri color. He has sired a few litters of puppies and they take after him for the most part. Tia is the girl and the princess of the house. She is a daddy's girl and I swear he gives her more attention than he does me. She sleeps on one of our pillows right above our head every night! Daddy holds her like a baby and rocks her while he watches television. Yep she is that spoiled! Cole is my little black male. He only has one eye and is partially deaf. Needless to say, we make fun of him quite often. When we throw food to them, he never sees it so it hits him in the head and he misses out on quite a few snacks. I home cook for them so they do not have to eat any preservatives. It is time consuming but cost wise, I think it is comparable to a medium grade food. Okay I will stop boring every one now. But in all fairness, you asked for it! :)

Thanks so much for letting me share and the giveaway!

Happy Holidays,
Marlena

I am an animal lover. We have 4 dogs and a cat that came as a stray and stayed. I love them all but my heart dog is my 5 lb Min Pin, Dolly. She is 13 now and almost blind and has heart problems but has such an independent spirit you would never know it.

I have always had a pet and I love all of them. I had a dog, fish, hamster, gerbil, and cat (at different times) growing up. Now I have 2 cats. I was away for Thanksgiving and missed them dearly.

I've always had dogs in my life, each of them special in their own ways. Two years ago I lost both of my dogs to different diseases within a month of each other (the last right before Christmas). I honestly believe that Miranda did not want to go on without her "sister." Six, horribly dog-less months later I was rescued by a feisty little mutt that embodies so much of my last two dogs that it is SCARY! :D Now... to find a sister for her!

My life is not complete without a fur buddy. My email address is to honor the dog that was with me the longest. Gyzmo was a Poodle Terrier mix that based on his reaction to men, was probably mistreated before he was weaned & often acted like he was demented. My best friend, which was the only other person he loved as unconditionally as he did me, told him repeatedly that he was drain bamaged, which became my email address shortly before he went to dog heaven.

Thank you all so much for entering...I can't tell you how all of your stories have touched my heart. How wonderful to "know" such a wonderful group of true animal lovers.

I wish I had a book for everyone, but unfortunately, I only have one to give away. I put all of your names in a bag and drew out...Cindi Decker. Congratulations, Cindi...I'll be emailing you right away for your address!
