Steamed to Death Book Tour: A Note from Reg the Westie, by Peg Cochran

Hi, this is Reg.  I’m a Westhighland white terrier and my human is Gigi Fitzgerald who runs the Gourmet De-Lite business.  Recently Gigi and I went to stay at Felicity Davenport’s house—she’s a big soap star and has a country house here in Woodstone, Connecticut.  Gigi is helping her lose some weight and is doing some cooking for her.

Luckily I got to go along because Felicity is the human to a Golden Retriever named Tabitha.  She is on the cover of Steamed to Death with me.  Tabitha is a lot bigger than I am, but I’m faster and can take the corners better.  Gigi was always telling us not to mess up the throw rugs as we tore around the house.  Then, after all that activity, it was time for a rest.  Felicity’s kitchen has an Aga—a kind of stove that is always giving off heat.  Tabitha and I loved to curl up in front of it for our naps.

Tabitha was really cool about sharing her toys with me, but she did get annoyed when I stole a soup bone that was meant for her.  She chased me all the way upstairs and under the bed.  Gigi had to pull me out by the tail.

Gigi probably would have been madder, but we helped her uncover a very important clue.  And in the end I saved the day and got an extra special treat.

About Steamed to Death: Gourmet health food caterer Gigi Fitzgerald is used to helping dieters drop a dress size. But when her clients start dropping dead, she’s ready to switch her chef’s hat for a detective’s cap and track down a killer. . .

Aging soap star Felicity Davenport is looking to revamp her image, and she’s using Gigi’s Gourmet De-Lite to help her shed a few of those unwanted pounds. Having such a high-profile client is definitely good for business, but when Felicity is found murdered in her sauna, things start getting too hot for Gigi to handle.

The list of suspects is a mile long, and Gigi’s best friend, Sienna, is at the top. Refusing to let her friend get blamed for a crime she didn’t commit, Gigi is determined to hunt down the real killer. But, as the case reaches a boiling point, Gigi will have to be careful or she could be the next one getting burned.

Dieting certainly can be a killer! That's why I don't do that anymore, just in case!
