The news coming from the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan is just heartbreaking. With so much human suffering, sadly the plight of animals, both domestic and wildlife, is left on the back burner. I strongly believe that animal welfare in a disaster is an integral part of disaster relief.
