Cat's Meow Mews & Mailbox #23

Cat's Meow Mailbox is inspired by the great weekly recap book memes (Mailbox MondayWaiting On WednesdayIt’s Monday! What are you reading? and Sunday Post)

Is it spring yet??? Valentine's Day brought another 8" of snow, which is nothing compared to what other areas got, but I think at this point everyone is just sick of winter weather. To make matters worse later in the week temps will be in the 40s with rain which will just make for a yucky, slushy mess.

One week from today is the Daytona 500 and I could not be happier about that!!!

Last week on Mochas, Mysteries and Meows:
Truffles & Fancy Feast: A Love Story
Reflections on Sashi, 8 Years Later

I adore the black cat necklace that I won from author Karen Rose Smith:

I am excited for NASCAR to start. We watched the Bud-shoot out tonight. The Courtship of Ebeneezer Scrooge looks interesting. Stay warm and have a wonderful week.

I too am excited about the Daytona. This year we are going to the Kansas City race. There isn't a track in my state so I always have to travel to get to the races. I have only been to one other race in Texas. It was the 2011 race and it rained out. So finally on Monday we got to see a little bit of racing, they did 200 laps instead of 500. I love your necklace!!

Cats hold a special place in my heart as well. I loved your post about Sashi.

Just read your tribute to Sashi (lovely name btw). I've got 2 of my cats at Rainbow Bridge and 2 others I don't know if they are still alive sadly, as they disappeared, I hope to think they are safe somewhere. I know what you mean, it was particularly painful when I lost my first cat Rani, she had been 'my' first cat and sadly died on the road. I've got 5 cats now, 1 black and white boy, 2 all black longhaired girls, 1 ginger and white boy and 1 pedigree mix Siamese and Russian Blue boy.

That necklace is amazing. We got about half a foot the day before valentine's and a few more inches yesterday. It is really piling up out there. Have a great week.

Snow can be so beautifull, but it's really annoying when you have to go somewhere. I wish we got some snow here this year, but so far we had a mild winter. I always hate it when the snow turns to slush.
That black cat necklace you won looks really great!
I hope you enjoy the new books you got this week :)

btw I love your blog header!

Nice haul, enjoy!

We had a snowstorm last week too, got almost a foot of snow. I'm ready for warmer temps!
