GoPets Deshedding Tool Review & Coupon Code

While I generally consider myself to be a pretty darned good cat mom, the one area that I admittedly tend to neglect is grooming. Tara required extra attention because as she aged and got sick she needed the help, plus she had long been queen of the dingleberries. But Truffles was absolutely fastidious about her grooming habits, almost obsessively so, never once requiring my intervention.

I know that brushing and grooming can be a great way to bond with your pet so I was excited when GoPets contacted us about trying out some of their products. Mudpie and I chose their Deshedding Tool and have been extremely impressed.

Some key points:

I introduced Mudpie to the deshedder for the first time while she was relaxed and getting ready for a nap. She enjoyed it so much that she actually kept right on napping!!!

I ended up uncovering a mat that I hadn't felt while petting her and have already noticed after just a few uses that she feels softer. (I was actually surprised by how much fur I've removed in the middle of winter in Vermont!) The deshedder is very comfortable to use (for both of us) and I love how easy it is to release the fur using the eject button:

This is a tool that we'll definitely be using now on a regular basis, especially come spring and summer when shedding will become more of  a problem.

If you would like to try a GoPets Deshedding Tool, they are currently on sale at Amazon for $24.99, and through the month of March you can receive a 10% discount by using the coupon code TUWTVE5B at checkout.

The question is, now that we're bonding through the grooming process, am I brave enough to try clipping Mudpie's nails???

Do you groom your cat?

Mum is going to see if she can get one of these in the UK - at the moment she uses a Zoom Groom on Lucy and a wire brush on Hannah as her coat is quite thick.

We're happy with our Furminators and don't really see why this would be better, but it's nice to have options when you don't have either one!

That looks like a good tool. We have something like that. And good reminder to me that I really do need to groom Missy. Great review.

I've been a bad mommy and have been neglecting combings lately, shame on me. I think this is in large part because I've never really found a comb I've liked. But, this tool sounds so promising, so I'll definitely have to look into it. Thanks for sharing, Mudpie and Melissa! Purrs!

Go Pets has great products. If you want to do her nails get their clippers, they are great too.

Sounds good to us. We have 3 long hair cats and they do not like to be groomed - wish we had some tricks to use. Happy Mardi Gras!

We have a Furminator, and Quinn loves it. When she sees it come out she gets all comfy next to me, and as I brush her, she purrs and purrs. Afterwords I pet her, and loose hair comes off in my hands, and yes, she is SOFT! And still purring!!

We have a Fulminator, but it's nice to know another good brand. Purrs

Our mom is woefully lacking in the grooming area too. That looks like a nice tool...similar to the furminator.

I'll take my FURminator and raise you 100 furs.

Mommy cuts our nails, but she should brush us more often. This looks like a cool deshedder.
