Missing Merle #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

There's always country music playing at our house so we were incredibly saddened by the death of Merle Haggard on Wednesday. He passed away on his birthday! There's something especially cruel yet strangely beautiful about that.

Our Caturday Art this week is in black & white in his honor.

Mommy got to see Merle in concert about 15 years ago right here in Burlington. Her favorite song of his is The Fightin' Side of Me and her favorite performance of that song is this duet version with Toby Keith (who she's been lucky enough to see 3 times in concert!)

That is such a honourful picture for Merle, Mudpie. You have a gentle heart my furriend! Grandpaw is a huge Country Man, so we are remembering him as well. Extra Soft Pawkisses for the occasion. RIP Mr Merle <3 <3 <3

That is nice that your Mom got to see Merle in concert. Too many losses in the music world lately. I love your art Miss Mudpie.

Our mom doesn't listen to country as a rule, but she knows a gorgeous kitty when she sees one. Mudpie, you are stunning. This B&W created photo is amazing, and we love it. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Amen to that song and there's been a lot of presidential candidates who are running down our country by saying it needs to be made right.
