Glamming It Up #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

Today I took an unusable, blurry picture, applied a Photo Lab filter, and ended up with art that looks like I'm glamming it up with my fur blowing in the breeze! I think I should be riding shotgun in a convertible, don't you?

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader...

Mudpie's answers:

1. I could really use a nice, big cat tree in the living room. Would you believe there has never been a cat tree in this house? Full sunlight gives Mommy bad headaches and our shades are mostly drawn, so even if I had one it wouldn't be able to be in front of a sunny window. I'm working on her, though. All she needs to do is wear her sunglasses in the house! (Before you feel too sorry for me, I do have a bathroom window to lounge in and a tall bookcase with a cat bed on it in front of an open window in the bedroom!)

2. Any charity that benefits cats is a charity that I like to support.

Mommy's answers:

3. One time, I broke my mom's Rhett Butler statue, and I saw my life flash before my eyes. She collects GWTW memorabilia, and this particular piece from Avon was impossible to find but a friend who works for Avon was able to get one for her. I was a kid, and she told me not to touch it. I did, it tipped over, and his hat broke off.  That's the angriest she's ever been with me, and she still reminds me about it every now and then.

4. I wish that I had pursued a career as a vet tech, when I was younger.

Your art looks great, Mudpie! I can't believe your mommy broke Rhett Butler. Her mom will probably never let her forget it! :)

Nice effect, Mudpie! Did you ask Mommy if she was in the “dog house”, when she broke her mom’s statue? :)

That is beautiful art. Thank you both for these great fill-in answers. I hope you get a cat tree someday even if it can't be in a sunny window. You are lucky you were able to replace that statue for your mom. I broke several of her collection of nuns and monks ( I used to bang their heads together, not sure why) and I still look on ebay to try to replace them with no luck. Have a great weekend!XO

We can just imagine you cruising in a convertible, your gorgeous tortie hair blowing in the wind just like this, Mudpie. And what fantastic fill-ins from both of you! We never had trees in my home when I was growing up, and the kitties were still happy as could be. I just started adding cat trees to my new house a couple of years ago, and even then, sometimes they're all empty of cats. And your #3 brings back memories from my childhood. While playing with Rosie's litter mate Sammy, I once broke an antique vase that my mom had gotten from her sister. Woops. Purrs!

your artwork came out sooooooooooooooooo cool!!! I LOVE it! I think you would make (I am saying MAKE in the present tense because YOU ARE STILL YOUNG and could STILL be a Vet Tech), an EXCELLENT Vet Tech!!! Would love to see you pursue that! catchatwithcarenandcody

If you say so, MP. You are blowing in the wind. Last year when we checked out of the Blogpaws' hotel, we started talking with a guy who did roadshows and he showed us that he had an exact small-scale replica of Tara with everything just the way it was. It was incredible.

Amazing art, Mudpie!

My mum is like yours - sunlight gives her headaches and she prefers to have the curtains drawn shut on bright days.

We're with you on the cat tree! They have big ones with leaves and branches and lots of perches. The Tribe of Five think something like that would be purrrfect in the TV room!
