My favorite of your set was Ray Stevens - he had some wonderful novelty songs "back in the day". Conway Twitty - believe it or not it was only recently that I knew he had a successful few years as a rocker before he switched to country. Nice selection! That Conway Twitty one was a big score of a classic find! It is so good.
And I adore Blake Shelton. I like both of his songs that you featured. Of course Garth's "Wild Horses" is excellent. I have to say the one I enjoyed the most was the "Mississippi Squirrel Revival." OMG, I had to watch it twice, it was so funny. I'm still giggling. Thanks for making my night with that one!

Have a great rest of the week,

Michele at Angels BarkMichele at Angels Bark https://www.blogger.com/profile/15891713963440451090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536122764434872338.post-2034723311892524542018-08-15T14:19:00.210-04:002018-08-15T14:19:00.210-04:00Hmm. What comes to mind is a forgettable song, I think sung by Stonewall Jackson (eyeroll), with a refrain, "If that cat could talk, what tales he could tell, about Della and the dealer and the dog as well, but the cat was cool and he never said a mumblin' word."

I actually sort of liked "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo," preferably sung by just about anybody except S. Jackson.

I think my favorite song with an animal in it was "Old Faithful," as sung by Eddy Arnold.Priscilla Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02564805564265436613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536122764434872338.post-20637943055359092622018-08-13T20:22:57.474-04:002018-08-13T20:22:57.474-04:00NO CAT SONGS?? Didn't Mr. Twitty (hee hee) have a song with Snakes in the title? They ain't animals but neither are bees. He has such swag as a rocker and reminds me so much of a young Elvis but then you mentioned in a previous post that the King had an influence on Conway. I like Blake Shelton. I didn't know much about him until I began watching The Voice. His fun, easy-going personality clicked with me but I imagine he does with everyone. "Honey Bee" is a cute tune. Oh, I'm glad you shared Ray Stevens' "The Mississippi Squirrel Revival". I like just about everyone of Stevens' hilarious songs. Man, I remember the day when he was on top of his A-game and got a lot of radio time. One of the local channels carries Ray's Nashville TV show and sometimes we come across it. I'm glad that he's still performing. Thanks for sharing and hitting the dance floor with the 4M gang today, my friend. Have a blessed week! :) Cathy Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01738079671642137018noreply@blogger.com
