Embarrassing Baby Talk #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

I can't believe I'm telling you this because it's SO embarrassing.

I think I've mentioned before that one of Mommy's favorite nicknames for me is Muddy Poo-Poo. I kid you not.

It gets worse.

I always hang out with her in the kitchen late at night when she's picking up one last time before bed. Usually if I'm lucky I can score an extra treat or two. Lately she's started asking me, "Is Mudsy-wudsy-poo ready for nighty-nighty-poo on the blankie-wankie-poo?"

You can't make this stuff up!

We're joining our friends at The Cat on My Head for the Sunday Selfies blog hop!

  1. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I do hope you get extra treats! But that is better than what Mrs H sometimes calls me when I am less than decisive in going out or stopping in when sat in the freezing cold and open doorway.
That is a wonderful and maybe pragmatic selfie.
Have a great and pet-name free week!

  4. We kitties put up with a lot don't we. Our mommy's like to use baby talk on us and they think because it's human talk we don't understand. What they don't understand is cat talk.

  5. Oh Mudpie, aside from the Selfie expression that says it all, I won't even mention some of the names my mom and dad give me or the way they talk to me as if I'm a toddler. What is it with humans?

  6. They say if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, it doesn't make a sound: or something like that. Therefore: we will pretend we never ever read this post and so do not know that you talk baby poopoodoodoogoogoo talk to muddymoopoogoopie so therefore it never happens. Right?

  7. Ugh! I hate when humans talk baby talk to us! We're cats! Sorry you have to endure that, Mudpie. ~Murphy

  8. I was reading an article about that not even a week ago Mudpie. Parents who love their cats just automatically do that! And visitors do too many times. They say us kitties are a lot like babies and I think that must be true. It sure brings it out on our parents. And we like the higher pitch used too. For real.

How could she NOT have cutesie nicknames for your awesomeness?

  10. Firstly, Mudpie, you look meowvolous! And secondly, your mom sounds a bit crazy-poo. But if you can score some extra treats, we say to just put your paws over your ears and let her babble away.
