In Focus #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

Today for my Caturday Art project I took one of Mommy's favorite close-ups of me and added the "focus frame" effect in Tuxpi to further highlight my exquisite face, and then gave my masterpiece a second frame using PicMonkey.

C'est magnifique, non?

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!

1. My favorite herb or spice is mint. True story: one year on Mother's Day I went to a nursery and on a whim picked up a chocolate mint plant. I didn't know how I would use the herb, but it sounded yummy. I never found out what it tasted like; it was dead by Father's Day. My black thumb never disappoints.

2. An herb/spice I dislike is horseradish.

3.Lately, I have been working on gathering all my tax stuff together to bring to the accountant. Fun times.

4.This Winter was pretty dull. Barely a flurry until we got two dumpings in one week totaling nearly two feet which was gone by the next week.

  1. Everything about your art is purrfection, Mudpie. Your gorgeous face, that lovely sunshine, a frame in our favorite color (purple!). Purrfection!

And, of course, I love your fill-in answers. You and I really do have so much in common. I have the farthest thing from a green thumb. I love having flowers in my yard, but my dad comes over and checks on them for me or else they die a slow and painful death. I've never really liked horseradish either. And my tax stuff is finally all collected and with my accountant, otherwise known as my mom.

  3. What a pretty kitty. :)

I have had bad luck with plants the last several years. Hopefully this year will be different. We got a tomato plant that has two tomatoes and flowers on it already. So, if nothing else, we'll have two tomatoes. haha

Have fun with those taxes and have a blessed weekend. :)

  4. Yep, it is everyone's favorite time of year again, Tax Season. Some people actually look forward to tax season. Those people are half a bubble off center.

  13. You are very interesting! I have not heard of Tuxpi. That gives me another program to play with. I planted mint in the back yard when I was a kid. My dad spent the next 40 years trying to get rid of it!

  15. Very pretty art Miss Mudpie. And thanks to your Mom for her great fill-in answers. That is too bad about the chocolate mint, it sounded good. Horseradish is an acquired taste, I didn't start liking it until 5 years ago. Have a great weekend!

  16. MP, you have at least one ear! Great art. TW had chocolate mint in her yard one year. I grew like a weed. It tasted like a peppermint pattie.
