Two words I can barely spew from my mouth are "good morning." I've never been a morning person and the older I get, the worse it gets. (And the scary thing is I don't think I'm that old!)
I once saw a TV show where a character was wished a "good morning," and he replied, "What's so good about it? Did something happen overnight that I don't know about?" I cracked up because that's exactly what I'd like to know when someone utters those two dreaded words at the butt crack of dawn.
So whenever someone says "good morning" to me, I reply with a simple "morning." It's truly all I can get out. I swear I did not create this meme, but is it not perfect???

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid and teenager, I was a huge night owl. When I got older, something in me completely switched and now I'm an early bird. Some days, though, I'm with you on wondering what's so "good" about the morning. Nevertheless, we hope you have as good of a morning as is possible!

ReplyDeleteI completely agree!! I only ever say "morning" too. Actually I am more likely to say, "All right then!" which is more of a Westcountry greeting. Mornings should be banned!

HAH! TW hates mornings. In fact she'd love to go to Acne which is a million miles away but the senior bus leaves at 9 a.m.
