Humiliated #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

We wanted to give everyone an update on my yucky medical issues from last weekend.

I've been feeling fine, but for most of the week my bottom kept draining. (TMI, I know...) Mommy sent a couple pictures to my vet but on Thursday she took me in for a recheck to make sure it was healing the way it should.

The good news...it is. The bad news...the vet told Mommy to keep an eye on my right gland because that one is getting impacted too. So chances are I'll have to go through this again very soon.

While I was at the vet I got a "sanitary trim" down there because I had so much of the drainage fluid stuck to my pantaloons.

Would you believe Mommy has THREE pictures of my tushie on her iPad? Two are from during the week as she kept the vet updated on my progress, but then she took another one when I got back from my recheck because she wanted documentation of what it looked like right after the vet had seen it, just in case she noticed any changes. And in that one my bottom is NAKEY!!!

I'm warning you, Mommy. Those pictures hadn't better EVER see the light of day! I already feel like most of the world has seen my buns. I'm so humiliated...

We're joining our friends at The Cat On My Head for the Sunday Selfies blog hop!

  1. Mudpie, those are the kind of pictures that humans take of their brand new naked baby on a fur rug. And that baby never wants to grow up and see those pictures again. However your mommy is doing the right thing by keeping an eye on you and by the time it turns cold weather all your fur should be grown back.

  2. Purrs to be better soon, sweetie, that's a most uncomfortable thing to deal with. We had a pupper long time ago who had that issue All The Time. Yes, sometimes the "fur" gets in the way, sometimes one is a bit too chubby too which ... but your Mom and your Vet know best, so they'll take good care of you.

  4. Oh my word! Those pictures need to be deleted ASAP. On the plus side, things are going in the right direction, even if it means a rather cold behind!
Get well soon, and thanks for a lovely selfie.

  5. That does not sound fun at all, Mudpie. We are happy that things are going in the right direction. We will keep purring!

  6. Mudpie, your mommy would never ever ever publish your nakey pictures! That is only for her, you and the vet to see to keep a good eye on what is happening to your behind. Don't you worry. And your fur will come back quickly.

  7. Mudpie, most - if not all - of your fans are cat people and if we haven't dealt with a similar problem, we know they happen. Don't be embarrassed for our sakes.

  9. Medical issues are not an embarrassment, we all have them, just at different seasons of our lives and to different levels. I'm praying you heal right up and the other gland gets cleared quickly and easily.

  15. Poor Mudpie! Fluffy kitties have their own cross to bear (and to bare -- so humuliatin'). Maybe Mommy could sit you in the sink and let you soak for a while. Needless to say she'd have to watch that you don't escape. That or wetwipes. I have to use them sometimes on Dani. Good luck, girl!
