Do you plan to watch the Kentucky Derby today? We will be even though Mommy watches horse races with one eye closed. She says NASCAR is her sport of choice because when the drivers crash they aren't destroyed like the poor horses are when they fall. She loves the Triple Crown races though - they're really all she watches - and she's so thankful she's now gotten to see two Triple Crowns in her lifetime. We hope it happens again, but more than anything we just pray for a safe race each year. The horses' lives are more important than any trophy. We don't usually choose a favorite but we'll be rooting for Render Judgment, Toby Keith's horse.
For my Caturday Art project this week I decided to wrap myself in a garland of roses just like the winning horse will receive.
1. I write with my right hand.
2. My plans for the month of May include attending a foster kitten seminar and planting my veggie garden.
3. I wonder if anyone else is as uninterested in today's so-called "celebrities" as I am?
4. Christmas in July and the arrival of Halloween decor in the stores is what I like most about summer.

ReplyDeleteMudpie you pick the perfect roses to surround yourself with. You look simply divine. Which means that you would be able to attend the Hat Society at the Kentucky Downs race track. I grew up at Louisville Kentucky so I know about the races but I don't keep track of them anymore. Your mommy's feelings are good ones. I don't follow any celebrities because one way or the other it seems like they get themselves into trouble
