I snapped my selfie this week on Thanksgiving while I was on my squeezie table waiting for the turkey to come out of the oven. I was getting impatient! It was worth the wait though...so yummy! After dinner I took a 5 hour turkey coma nap.

Who's going shopping today? As you're reading this, Mommy and I are most likely still snuggling in bed. Any Christmas shopping we do today will be online. As Mommy says, it's way too peopley out there!

This picture was taken at night so it's super dark but too cute not to share. I was trying to point out to Mommy that my squeezie dish was empty by partly lying in it. See how my foot is right in the dish? If there was a squeezie in there I wouldn't be able to do that.

1. ??? was a faux pas I made once. I can't think of anything I've said or done, but I remember a time in grade school when a fellow student's parent asked our teacher when her baby was due, and she wasn't pregnant.

2. I know every line of many classic country songs.

3. I need a good recipe for peppermint mochas. I can never make them taste as good at home as they do in coffee shops.

4. If I were in charge of holiday scheduling, I would change the distance between Halloween and Christmas. They're my favorite two holidays and way too close together. Once they're both over it's so depressing because it's such a long time until they come around again.

Grandpa Needs Purrs & Prayers Again

First I want to let everyone know that my cold seems to have run its course and I'm feeling much better. Thank you all so much for the well wishes!

But now Grandpa is in the hospital (again). Late Sunday/early Monday he started exhibiting signs of an infection like he has in the past, but just like so many times before the doctors can't find anything really wrong with him. They're just calling it "failure to thrive". Funny he was doing just fine as of last week! He keeps having these episodes, always around the holidays or during the winter months, and no one can figure out what's causing them.

And just like so many times before now that he's in the hospital he's delirious, talking French and thinking Mommy is his sister. There was one memorable moment though - the only thing he said today that made any sense (sort of) was pointing out an (invisible) cat at the foot of his hospital bed and saying it looked like Mudpie! So he doesn't know who anyone is but he remembers little ol' me! I have that effect on people :) 

Oh, and tonight Mommy was getting ready to reheat some soup in a saucepan for dinner. I was lying on the floor in front of the sink when she knocked the saucepan off the counter and it landed upside down on my back! I was rather annoyed but she laughed and laughed (which she desperately needed) and said at least she hadn't put the soup in the pan yet! 

Please send purrs and prayers that Grandpa comes home soon and things can get back to normal for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We love the holiday season so much and it seems like every year something happens to ruin it. 

I Haz a Cold #SundaySelfie

I have a cold. I started sneezing Tuesday evening and haven't stopped since. I sneeze 10-12 times in a row, but Mommy says I have a very ladylike sneeze. (Her kitty Sashi used to have lots of nose trouble and she would fling snot all over the place!)

Needless to say, I've been feeling pretty miserable so Mommy is trying to cuddle me all I want until I feel better. You can see my weepy eyes in the selfie I took on Friday. I had just finished my breakfast which was pretty good, but my appetite isn't as good as it usually is either. I'm not even constantly underfoot in search of a snack helping Mommy out in the kitchen like I normally do.

I look pretty pitiful, don't I?

1. My first celebrity crush was John Ritter.

2. If I could make up a new holiday it would be called National Mudpie Day. It could primarily focus on the dessert, but I would use it to celebrate my sweet girl :) 

3. Summer is the last thing on my mind these days.

4. If my car could talk, it would probably tell me it's time for a new battery. (Having to jump start it 3 days in a row this week leads me to believe it would be right.)

Shrimping

Mommy and I can't believe Mo has been gone for over a month now. We still miss him so much. Our yard is empty without him.

Mommy was looking through her phone for pictures of him we never posted and she came across this one. Is this the purrfect example of a cat "shrimping" or what? 

Mommy took this picture from our dining room window. He used to love napping under a large bush there. It was a good place for us to keep an eye on him, and Mommy still catches herself looking out the window to see if he's there :(
