This is a horrible picture, but such a sweet moment I had to share.
I decided to run my weekly errands yesterday morning so I wouldn't have to go out into the depths of Hell the next few days.
It only took a couple hours, but that's an eternity away from Mudpie, so when I got home I sat on the living room floor to give her lots of kisses. I was pretty worn out so on a whim I decided to lie down on the floor to see what she would do.
She curled up beside me, put her head on my shoulder, and promptly dozed off! She even started snoring!
We stayed that way for probably a half hour, and while my back was breaking on the hard floor, I wouldn't have moved for anything in the world. It's way too hot for us to cuddle the way we do the rest of the year, but we still found a way to be close.
I know most people would probably say the same thing about their pet, but I swear she is the sweetest, most loving cat that ever lived.

I think I'm most contented when my cat is content. Which is why I do the ridiculous things for her that I do. But they give us back all that affection don't they. I would like to put it in a bottle and Save it.
You two have a real bond; that's fabulous!
We won't move so we don't bother them while they nap. We do the same thing here. As it should be.
