Meows from Mudpie!
10 years ago we posted this photo, back when I easily jumped up and down off the kitchen counter. (I was allowed! Mommy has no problem with kitties on food prep surfaces.)
I haven't been up there in a looooooong time. I don't do any jumping at all anymore. The other day Mommy was in the kitchen and heard me meowing mournfully from another part of the house. She quickly went looking for me and found me in the bathroom, looking up at the window. I could smell the fresh air coming in but I know it's too high for me to jump, so I was calling for help. I used to fly through the house and into that window without a second thought! I proceeded to take a nap in the window while Mommy sat on the edge of the bathtub waiting to help me back down. She waits on me hand and foot!
I'm even hesitant to jump up on the bed now. Mommy tries to always help me. She's put an ottoman at the foot of the bed for me but so far I haven't used it. I'm not showing any other signs of arthritis, it's my weight that's holding me down.
Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute).

Mudpie, you have the BESTEST mommy!! I used to put Lita in the window after she shattered the tendon in her back leg. It was hard for her to jump. It is hard getting older and/ore a little more round ;) We hope you enjoy your window whiffies! <3
Mudpie, as if we can keep cats off of the counters!
When Celestial Sweetie was with us, The Hubby made a ramp from a piece of wood and carpet scraps.
She used it, because her jumping days were long gone.
Hugs and purrs.
You are a smart girl. And beautiful. xO
Mudpie’s flashback is such a sweet reminder of how cats change as they get older. The story about needing help reaching the window was especially adorable. It made me smile and also think about another kitchen-related question: can you recycle ziploc bags after using them?
Your Mama loves you sweet Mudpie and she will always give you a lift when you need one!
You sure do have your Mom at your beck and call, er meow! Maybe a set of pet stairs would work, or a carpeted wooden ramp? Or you could bind or tie books together and make a custom set of stairs. NOw about the bsthroom window, a kitty ladder...um...nah, mom's help is better! Are there other windows that are easier to reach?
Isn't your mommy the smartest, sweet Mudpie. Extra Pawkiss for the both of youš¾š½š
