Tortie Tuesday: Sugar Plum Needs a Home for Christmas

Meows from Mudpie!

Today I'd like to introduce you to a beautiful tortie lady currently available for adoption at my Alma mater, North Country Animal League in Morrisville, Vermont. She's been looking for her forever home for quite awhile now, and we'd love to help her find a family for the holidays!

Sugar Plum is outgoing and loves being carried around. She's very affectionate and super playful. She also could live in a home with a calm dog. She is on a special diet (grain-free, easily found in grocery stores) and an every other day medication regiment. Sugar Plum, or Sugar, for short, doesn't ask for much. She spends a lot of time in the admin offices and wants nothing more than to hang out with the staff.

As a matter of fact, here's what a shelter employee had to say about Sugar Plum on her PetFinder page: "As I sit at my office desk right now, Sugar Plum is sleeping soundly next to me. From the moment I arrive to work to when I leave, she is next to me getting as much cuddle time as possible. And who am I to choose work over a loving kitty? Sugar Plum's only downside is that she hinders doing actual work (many could argue this though). Sugar Plum wants nothing more than your love! She is one of the most loving torties I have come across. She loves to play when its playtime, sleeps when its quiet time, and comes looking for love all in between. Sugar Plum is about 8 years old, would be fine with kids but would like to be the only pet in the house!"

Doesn't Sugar Plum sound like the purrfect addition to your home for the cold winter nights that lay ahead? Give her a home for the holidays and you will enjoy her love & companionship throughout the year. And at 8 years old some might say she's a senior (did you know November is Senior Cat Month?), but we say Sugar Plum is in the prime of her life at 8!

Here's a little bit of Mudpie trivia: When Mommy adopted me she had a long list of potential names for her new little girl. In addition to chocolate-related names she also pondered Christmas-y sounding names (because it's her very favorite time of the year) and Sugar Plum topped the list! Obviously she went with her sweet tooth, but I wouldn't have minded being Mommy's sweet 'lil Sugar Plum either!
