It's Super Tuesday! Is Your Cat a PolitiCat?

Meows from Mudpie!

Mommy is a Presidential election junkie. The funny thing is, she can't stand political news the rest of the time, but she becomes obsessed with it every four years. She says it's fun. I say she's weird.

Today is Super Tuesday, which is apparently a big deal, so I went looking for some fun kitty-themed political items to share with you. I hope you like what I found!

POLITIKATS - Politically Inclined Cat Scratching Posts

This is a Kickstarter campaign to fund Politikats, the world’s first politically inclined cat scratching posts. The initial lineup includes President Obama, Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. If they meet certain thresholds over the the 50-day campaign, they will roll out Democratic presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Standing 26 inches tall, Politikats scratching posts are wrapped in natural artisanal sisal rope. Each head is individually hand-painted, paying close attention to the aesthetics of the post. Politikats has also introduced its very own line of luxurious organic and gluten-free “Eau de Katpiss” catnip spray to entice. Just like a Gucci, LV, or other luxury bag, Politikats scratching posts comes with a fitted velvet dustbag to protect the post when not in use. When folded just right, the velvet bag acts as a fashion accessory while the bags tassels become another toy for Kitty to play with.

I definitely know which one Mommy would like to see me scratching away at, but I'm not sure how she'd feel about seeing this person in our living room every day!

The Mountain Politicats T-shirts

Mommy is a ginormous fan of The Mountain t-shirts. Our favorite is Grumpy Cat, of course!

The toy is adorable but the packaging is hysterical!

2004 Kitty Hoots Hillary Clinton Catnip Toy

This isn't a new item, but if you're lucky you might be able to snag one on Ebay. Mommy got one for Angel Sashi back when they first came out and it's currently packed away in her memory box. Before the election is over I hope she'll dig it out so I can have my shot at it too!

Would you buy any of these items for yourself or your cat?

  1. OMC! The t-shirts are hilarious!

  2. Da Trump one's hair should be even floofy though!

  3. These are great but politics drives my mom crazy so she wouldn't buy any of them!!

  4. Ditto on being a politicat (the hu-mom, that is) ... tho I wouldn't spend a "red" or "blue" cent on any of those silly toys ...

  5. Those are such cute toys. The political world is very interesting at the moment.

  6. The politicians seem to be doing a good job of scratching each other to pieces, on their own ... ME-OW! :) I think the t-shirts and catnip toys are great, though.

  7. Those are a hoot, but I am too cheap to buy one.

  8. The Politicat t-shirts from The Mountain are too cute!!

  9. Oh my goodness, these are hilarious. Thank you for sharing, Mudpie and Melissa!

  10. These are so funny! I love the scratching posts. Grumpy Cat's shirt is hilarious too! The presidential elections are very interesting, but I wish they didn't last so long. I get really sick of the commercials.

  13. We like the Grumpy T-shirt.
    Mum likes purple ;)
    Purrs Georgia and Julie,
    Treasure and JJ

  14. We wanna scratch the Donald scratching post.

  15. We have the Bill Clinton doll unless TW gave it away. The Grumpy Cat shirt is the best. We won’t buy any political item unless the candidate’s campaign gets a cut of the profits.

  16. Mom would love to see us beat up on one of those candidates, but it's bad enough seeing him on the news every single day. She loves The Mountain T-shirts and has a bunch of them. She had not seen the Hillary one and may have to treat herself. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  17. In the event that you need to profit online without any preparation, it is sure that you can do it. The web world is vast to the point that even high schoolers can profit on the web. There are numerous courses for high schoolers to profit on the web. Here are a portion of the ways. Scratching post user
