As we mentioned on Friday, Mommy went to our local cat show yesterday afternoon. Each year she comes home raving about somebody, and this year she fell in love with this pair of Birmans, especially the tortie point on the left. They graciously agreed to snap a selfie.
She is a looker, isn't she? Wonder if I should be jealous.
We'll tell you more about the show soon, but Mommy was also super excited to finally get to meet this tortie, Sienna. Sienna has been entered in the House Pet division for the past few years, but Mommy was never able to get to meet her up close and purrsonal (not to mention pet her) until now.
While she and Sienna's mom were chatting, the other cat in the cage with her escaped! Everyone started yelling, "Cat loose!" and all the doors were closed until the little escapee was captured. Mommy felt partly to blame for him getting out and was very happy when he back safe and sound. Sienna didn't seem to care all that much that her sibling was on the lam.
I'm just glad Mommy is back home safe and sound with ME!

Any winter naps in your future this weekend? Mommy is planning to go to our annual cat show tomorrow because a nasty ice storm is predicted for Sunday. It never fails - we always get bad weather for cat show weekend. Of course it is January in Vermont, so it's hardly surprising!
A little known fact about me is my fascination with water. Any liquid, actually. The other night Mommy and I were sitting on the couch together and she was drinking a cup of tea. I dipped my paw into her mug and pulled out the teabag, then once I realized how nasty it felt I flicked it onto the floor.
My favorite way to drink water is out of a mug, so I have a few mugs scattered around the house to quench my thirst, but any time I see a source of water I simply must investigate.
Mommy keeps a plastic pail under the bathroom sink for when she cleans, and the other night when she was taking a bath (during which time I typically sit on the edge of the tub and snoopervise, after all...lots of WATER!!!), she looked over to find me doing this...
Hey, there might have been some water in the bottom of that pail!!!
