1. Excess people stress me this time of year. You know how the Grinch complains about all the noise, noise, noise? To me it's all the people, people, people. Crowds and I don't do well together. And that statement that the holidays makes people friendlier couldn't be further from the truth. It makes them crazier than ever, at least those I come into contact with.

2. My favorite holiday film is Muppet Christmas Carol.

3. If you ask me, Christmas music and lights make this season merry and bright.

4. Certain Christmas decorations bring back memories.

Favorite Things Long Sleeve Hoodie: Whiskers and toe beans and purring and slow blinks...yep, those are a few of my favorite things! This hoodie won't be put away after Christmas. I'll be wearing it right into the spring!

Cozy Cat Wrist Warmers: I must be getting older because I never used to be chilly in the office, but lately I've been freezing. These couldn't have come at a better time!

Jolly Cats Felt Placemats: I got crafty with one of these darling placements and inserted it into a basket to make a festive wall hanging.

Meowliday Lights Feather Cat Toy: Mudpie goes nuts over anything with feathers, and when we aren't playing with it we drape it over her KatKabin to look like she has Christmas lights hanging. Yes, we got really crafty with this box.

Mewdolph the Red-Nosed Cat Catnip Toy: The only thing better than Rudolph during the holiday season is a cat-inspired Rudolph! Mudpie loves this little guy.

The theme of the Mewsic Moves Me blog hop for the month of December is Christmas music. I'm going to shock you a bit this week by making a brief diversion from my classic country tunes to focus on the soundtrack of my all-time favorite Christmas movie, The Muppet Christmas Carol.

I'm a huge Dickens and A Christmas Carol fan anyways, but the Muppets version is the one closest to my heart. I still remember seeing it in the theater when it first came out in 1992 and being completely entranced by it. I still am, and the movie is a must-watch for me every Christmas season.

Mommy always comments on how I'm the happiest cat she's ever known, yet in most selfies I look like I'm irritated or upset by something. Usually I have no reason to look disgruntled but when this selfie was taken I did. She had a squeezie (Delectables Squeeze Up...this is not an ad) in her hand and was withholding it while sticking a camera in my face!!! 

Hand over the squeezie and no one gets hurt!

1. I look forward to seeing Mommy's pretty decorations at the holidays. This year she left part of a table empty so I can jump up and sit on it and she loves the way the Christmas lights sparkle in my eyes. We're trying to get a good picture of it.

2. I can see a birdhouse directly outside my bedroom window. Mommy has always kept one there to entertain her cats through the years.

3. Christmas music always puts me in a festive mood. The Prime Country station on Sirius radio just switched to Country Christmas and I'm loving it! (How cute are the two C's as horseshoes???)

4. My favorite holiday tradition is watching Muppet Christmas Carol. I can't imagine the season without it!

Our friend Debbie Schneller cares for lots of feral kitties on her farm in Iowa. She frequently runs auctions and other fundraisers to help pay for their expenses via her Facebook group For the Love of Amanda - A Place for Feral Cats to Call Home.

For the holidays Debbie's talented daughter Rebecca is creating adorable graphics that put your cat in the center of a wreath for a small $5 donation. You have free rein to choose all the colors, fonts and words that go on your graphic which can then be put on card stock to mail to family and friends or used digitally any way you'd like.

We just love how Rebecca purrfectly captured my nose smudge, the diamond-shaped "necklace" on my chest, even the peanut butter markings on my toesies!
