June Retro Country Rewind #MewsicMovesMe

It's been a few years since we premiered our mewsic feature "Retro Country Rewind," a look back at favorite songs that hit #1 during that month from 30, 35, 40 plus years ago. In this new year we'll be delving into #1 hits from 1972, 1977, 1982, and so on. Let's take a look at June for this freebie week in the Mewsic Moves Me blog hop...

40 Years Ago - 1982, Slow Hand, Conway Twitty

40 Years Ago - 1982, Finally, T.G. Sheppard

40 Years Ago - 1982, For All the Wrong Reasons, The Bellamy Brothers

35 Years Ago - 1987, I Will Be There, Dan Seals

50 Years Ago - 1967, The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA, Donna Fargo

We hope you enjoyed our choices this week!

Ah, the 80s...and for some reason Happiest Girl comes back to me every once in a while, it was fun to sing along with.

Nice walk through time in the country world of music by decade. I only remember your first song pick, "Slow Hand" and last song, "Happiest Girl In The Whole USA". Thanks for joining the 4M dance party, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

It was so nice hearing the cover of "Slow Hand" (the original done by the Pointer Sisters and Conway Twitty did a fantastic cover) and Donna Fargo's "The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA"which crossed over to the rock surveys. I haven't heard that song in so long. You have a winning recipe with your "Rewind" posts. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
