The Sketchy Christmas Tree by Lucy Carol ~ Blog Tour with Book Review & Giveaway

Out on a limb for a killer!

In the whimsical small town of Bisque, filled with fur babies and friendly faces, the unthinkable can still happen, and somewhere a body drops. But also in Bisque, Sir Percival, a dapper cat detective with a gentleman’s code, stands sentinel.

One fateful night, amid Christmas lights and glittering snowflakes, Sir Percival’s vigilant gaze spots an intruder in dark shadows, silently stalking the home of a neighbor where a spirited little dog resides. But following the intruder leads to a shocking discovery—a dead body.

To protect their humans, Sir Percival and the little dog, Fidget, will have to unravel clues that lead them through a web of betrayal, eccentric neighbors, and buried secrets!

This charming holiday story made it feel like Christmas in the middle of spring!

Sir Percival is excited to help his devoted humans put up their tree, but after all the work has been done and everyone has retired for the night, he witnesses some strange goings on across the street. Fancying himself a cat detective, he slips out of the house and makes a shocking discovery. Teaming up with neighboring pup Fidget, Sir Percival has his paws full trying to keep those he loves safe while hot on the trail of a killer.

This is a short read filled with mystery, suspense, adventure, even a bit of romance! Sir Percival proves himself to be an ace cat detective, and I look forward to his future cases.

Mother's Day #CaturdayArt #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

Since I'd like to have a little extra quality time with Mommy for Mother's Day, I asked her if we could do just one blog post this weekend, combining our Caturday Art project with my Mother's Day message/Sunday Selfie.

Happy Mother's Day to all the pawsome cat moms out there!!!

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. My house is too small and too cluttered.

2. Dad calls me Peasoup. Well, he used to. That was my childhood nickname.

3. I'm most likely to take a dessert to a potluck.

4. I need to ask a neighbor for help with shrub trimming.

Unboxing April's CatLadyBox

The theme of April's CatLadyBox was the Orange Cats Box...here's what was inside!

Featured Cat Lady Artist:
Boris Kasyanov

Orange Cat Energy Tee:
This shirt gets 4 paws up from my sweet boy Mo!

Orange Kitten Pot:
The purrfect plant for me...it doesn't require any care and looks adorable on the kitchen counter.

Orange Cat Umbrella:
I'm not a fan of the rain so I'm in no hurry to use this, but it's super cute hanging in the hall! Love my cat umbrellas.

Billie Brain Cell, Retro Flip Phone, and Birthday Cake Catnip Toys:
As you can see above, Mudpie dove in and tackled all 3!

Velvet Orange Kitty:
I chose this as an add-on to my April box to go with my Velvet Noir Black Cat from last fall.

Run for the Roses #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie, and Happy Derby Day!

Do you plan to watch the Kentucky Derby today? We will be even though Mommy watches horse races with one eye closed. She says NASCAR is her sport of choice because when the drivers crash they aren't destroyed like the poor horses are when they fall. She loves the Triple Crown races though - they're really all she watches - and she's so thankful she's now gotten to see two Triple Crowns in her lifetime. We hope it happens again, but more than anything we just pray for a safe race each year. The horses' lives are more important than any trophy. We don't usually choose a favorite but we'll be rooting for Render Judgment, Toby Keith's horse.

For my Caturday Art project this week I decided to wrap myself in a garland of roses just like the winning horse will receive.

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. I write with my right hand.

2. My plans for the month of May include attending a foster kitten seminar and planting my veggie garden.

3. I wonder if anyone else is as uninterested in today's so-called "celebrities" as I am?

4. Christmas in July and the arrival of Halloween decor in the stores is what I like most about summer.

Thankful Thursday

Meows from Mudpie!

This week we're thankful for our new kitchen faucet. Ours bit the dust last week (the cold water wouldn't stop running even when the faucet was turned off) and Mommy had to wait a week for our plumber to replace it. Isn't it funny the things you take for granted until they no longer work?

Mommy had to take all the cleaning supplies out from under the sink so he would have room to hook up the new faucet, so of course I had to check out the empty space. (We're not sure what those old stains are. Must've been a water leak there at some point, long before our time!)

Mommy often jokes that with all the water problems we have she needs to marry a plumber. Our plumber would be the right age, and he's single, but he's not a candidate because he's obviously not a cat guy. While he was here I snoopervised his work, and he never even looked at me!

Better keep looking, Mommy!
