Moonlit Mudpie #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

Today my Caturday Art project comes courtesy of Dreamscope's "Moonshine" effect. I tried using it once before but couldn't find a picture that did it justice. We finally found one and think it turned out just incredible. Doesn't it look like I'm in a starlit forest late at night? I especially love the look around my eyes. The tree branches make it look like I'm wearing funky eye shadow.

Hey, there's an old song titled Moonlight in Vermont. That's probably what I should've titled this post!

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!

Mommy's answers:
1. In the Spring, I look forward to not a whole lot. Spring isn't very pretty in my neck of the woods. It stays cold and damp quite late and then the melting snow makes for a yucky mud season. Not pretty at all.

2. I would love to have a murder mystery party. I admit I stole this answer from our friends at Four-Legged Furballs. I was stumped because I'm not a party person at all, but when I saw their answer I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it myself. Cozy mystery fanatic that I am I've always thought they sounded like so much fun!

Mudpie's answers:

3. Few know this about me, but I sat in a western New York shelter for 5 months before I was transported to Vermont. Imagine nobody adopting me in 5 whole months!!! That's how I know Mommy and I were meant to be together forever. I arrived right where I needed to be just in time to mend her broken heart.

4. No one should ever harm an animal. Anyone who does shouldn't consider themselves a part of the human race. Child abuse is horrific, but there's punishment. An animal has no voice and in the majority of cases their abusers get off with a slap on the wrist.

Oh. My. Goodness. Mudpie, this is stunning! Seriously, this just became one of my favorite pieces of all time. This masterpiece belongs in a museum, or on a movie poster, or on a book cover.

And we always enjoy your fill-ins! I don't mind you using the same answer I did for #2 one bit. It's your book reviews that have sparked my newfound love of cozy mystery books, so this answer probably belongs more to you than it does to me. Mudpie, I think the only reason you'd ever be at a shelter for more than a day is fate. You and your mommy were made for each other. And I could not agree more with your #4.

Happy Caturday, Mudpie and Melissa!

What a gorgeous work of art! I love it!

That was my answer too - a murder mystery party would be so much fun!

Poor Mudpie having to sit in a shelter for 5 months before being transported to Vermont - glad you found a loving forever home! :)

AMEN to your answer to #4! I agree 1000%! :)

Have a great weekend!

Wow, Mudpie, what an AWESOME effect! I always wonder how these apps do their magic. I totally agree with you about harming animals. I think anyone who hurts innocent creatures has something evil about them.

Wow, that is incredible artwork! I love how the trees look around your eyes. Mudpie, my Paisley was in a foster home for quite a while, and they took her to five different adoption events but nobody wanted her! I met her at the sixth event they took her to. Love at first sight :)

I LOVE your art, you should get that one on a canvas. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers from you both. Miss Mudpie, I think you will agree that your Mom was worth the wait. :) I like the idea of a murder mystery party too, that would be fun.

Mudpie, you are not recognizable, but this art is exquisite. The way those trees turned into eyelashes was totally serendipitous. Excellent answers, except it makes us so sad that spring is not great in Vermont. Hope see you tomorrow for selfies. My Teddy was in a shelter for four months before I adopted him. He had been adopted but taken back to the shelter because he was too shy. He is very shy but we get along just fine and he has become quite affectionate with me. Sorry that spring is a bummer where you live. It is so beautiful here that it is amazing.

Love this art! In NJ there IS punishment for animal cruelty. 3-5 years if the cat dies. Dunno what it is if the cat doesn't.

Mudpie was definitely meant to be right where she is! The murder mystery seems to be a popular party! Hugs!
