Meows from Mudpie!
We were so sad to hear the news of Dolly Parton's passing yesterday afternoon. It's no secret Mommy is a huge country music fan, but Dolly was more than a music legend, she was a national treasure.
We've had some "Dolly moments" a couple times here on our blog. Back in 2020 I took part in the Dolly Parton Challenge, a viral meme she started when she posted a collage featuring four photos of herself labeled LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder on social media, with the caption: "Get you a woman who can do it all" with a winking emoji.

And a couple years ago I inserted myself in a photo of Dolly collectibles Mommy had picked up for a good friend in the UK who worships Dolly. We haven't heard from him yet and know he must be devastated.
The world is a darker place without Dolly in it.

I grew up watching Dolly Parton on good old black and white tv. Back with Porter Wagner. And then when she had her own television show. She was a great singer and I believe a truly great lady. And all she wanted to do for children who needed to learn how to read, incredible. I will miss knowing she's not with us anymore.
Beautiful tribute to a great singer😻And sweet Mudpie, your collage is amazing🐱Extra Pawkisses for you and your mommy too🐾😽💞
Dolly truly was, is, and always will be a true legend. Though I don't often listen to country music, I've always been a fan of hers. When I heard of her passing yesterday, I immediately thought of you as I know you're such a fan of country music and its legendary artists. Rest in peace, Dolly.
There was no quit on that woman; an example for us all.
We've lost a shining star. She will be missed.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to Mudpie. ♥
That's sure a sad loss, the world will not be the same without her.
