Monday Mischief: The Tortie Tirade

It's no secret that I demand to be an only child because I loathe other cats. After all, even at the shelter I had to be sequestered in an office because I didn't get along with the other residents! 

The other day Mommy was holding the door open for me to get some smells, when up the driveway comes one of our neighbor kitties. (Not Mo, I actually don't mind him, which gives Mommy some hope.) Anyways, I've told this neighbor kitty exactly what I think of him before, so Mommy was prepared for what was to come. While holding the door tight (just in case) she whipped out her phone and started recording.

(If you have any kittens around, you may want to cover their sensitive ears. I don't want to be blamed for being a bad influence on the next generation.)

Yep, all of that hissing and foul language is coming from yours truly. The neighbor kitty didn't make a peep! He just stared at me like I had a problem. I did...him on my property! 

Mommy went into the kitchen to play back the video, and the sound startled even me! Laughing, she informed me that it was me on the video. I just don't know where I learned such language! I appear to be the sweetest, most innocent tortie in the world...fooled ya!

MOL...Mommy wishes I would tell off the people who come to our door the same way! 

A Coded Message from Mudpie

Mommy here! 

Late Saturday night Mudpie and I were cuddled up on the couch watching the Grand Ole Opry on Circle. I had the iPad propped up next to me as usual, and out of the corner of my eye noticed Mudpie tapping it with her paw! 

This is what was on the screen...

She wasn't finished! I watched and waited quietly and a few minutes later the coded message continued! 

If any of you were expecting a secret note from Mudpie, here ya go. Similarly, if anyone can interpret the code I would be very interested in finding out what my little girl has to say! 

I have a feeling it might be an SOS for someone to help her escape from this crazy house she's currently living in! 

Monday Mischief: The Poopy Pizza Box

Yes, the pizza box is still on our kitchen floor. I've been sleeping on it every single day and Mommy hasn't had the heart to take it from me so she just steps around it.

But on Saturday afternoon something horrible happened. I had to make a litter box deposit and a you-know-what got stuck to my little bottom. I rubbed my tushie on the bathroom rug to dislodge the you-know-what, but only managed to spread it up my tail!

In a panic I streaked through the house and landed on my beloved pizza box, but when I sat down on it the you-know-what left a stain there too!!!

Needless to say, I got a massive butt wash and combing, and Mommy even washed off my pizza box with a bit of soap, but for a few hours I avoided the box. When I finally got back on it I stayed on the half that hadn't been soiled. By evening it had aired out sufficiently that I slept there all night. (I punished Mommy for the butt wash by not sleeping with her.)

Cyber Monday Mischief

I decided to get a head start on my Cyber Monday shopping, so I grabbed Mommy's credit card and fired up the laptop. I only had a few things on my list...a 4-tier cat tree, a heated cat bed, gifts for my Secret Paws, some of those pawsome Petsafe toys I'm seeing on all the cat blogs but have never been asked to review lucky enough to win.

Then suddenly the screen went blank.

I'm in trouble, aren't I?

Note from Mommy: This picture was actually taken on Thursday night. Mudpie climbed on top of the laptop while I was trying to get some work done. I had to use Google to figure out how to undo what she had done!!!
