Unboxing August's CatLadyBox

The theme of August's CatLadyBox was Purrfect Pantry...here's what was inside!

Featured Cat Lady Artist: Kae Hutchens signature illustration line are Kittipuffs, as seen on the card.

Floral Cat Foldable Backpack: The cat toile print on this bag is SO gorgeous!

Treat Dealer T-Shirt: What cat mom can't identify with this? I'm definitely Mudpie's squeezie dealer!

Kitty Sandwich Bags: These bags are seriously too cute to completely use up, but we have opened the box and are currently using one in the bedroom as Mudpie's overnight snack sack.

Cat Lady's Dryer Balls: In all honesty, I've never used a dryer ball before in my life, but the Victorian cat print on the bag is just to die for!

Chilly Kitty Ice Packs: Super cute and functional...what more can you ask for?

Beary Good Buddy Catnip Toy & Delicious Fishes Catnip Wand Toy: Fishy has joined Mudpie's wand toy rotation, and the sweet bear is in her toy stash ready to be bopped at any given moment :)

Sunday Selfie & Belated Fill-Ins

We're joining our friends at The Cat On My Head for the Sunday Selfies blog hop!

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. I plan to count down the minutes these last few days of August. Good riddance.

2. I am a chronic procrastinator.

3. Concentrating on anything is proving difficult these days. Too much going on in my head.

4. Have I ever told you about the time that I attacked a man at Kmart with a fishing pole? I was a curious kid at the time and reached up to touch the pole. It fell over a hit a man that was standing nearby. I got a pretty dirty look. My mom was hysterical and advised I not try to catch a husband that way.

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 2021 #CaturdayArt

Meows from Mudpie!

We weren't really sure what to do this year for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. After all, just last month we honored Tara and Truffles on the anniversary of their journey to the Bridge, and last week saw the celebration of what was Truffles' Gotcha Day.

Since this special day falls on a Saturday this year we thought we would just do something artsy with one of our favorite photos of Truffles. There's not a doubt in our minds that she and Mommy's other angel kitties are watching over us every single day.

ABOUT RAINBOW BRIDGE REMEMBRANCE DAY:

This special day was created by Deborah Barnes – author, award winning blogger, and cat advocate in tribute to her cat, Mr. Jazz, who she had to say goodbye to on August 28, 2013. She shared the journey of letting him go in her book, “Purr Prints of the Heart: A Cat’s Tale of Life, Death, and Beyond,” a warm and heartfelt book that is written in the wise and comforting voice of Mr. Jazz himself as he shares his life and death journey to offer guidance and understanding through a cat’s perspective as to why sometimes letting a pet go can be the greatest gift you give them.

A special event page for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day has been created on Facebook so that people can share blog post links, pictures, poems, favorite memories, etc.

Short & Sweet #PetPhotoFails

Meows from Mudpie!

Thank you for joining us for this month's edition of the Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop! Dare I hope that September is just days away? We have truly been in the dog days of summer over the past few weeks. If there were cat days of summer we would always have cuddle weather!

My blooper this month is short and sweet...just like me! Mommy and I had just woken up. I was looking all beautiful and adorable and stuff, and of course she wanted a picture, but I wasn't having it.

No time for pics, Mommy...I've got a busy day ahead of me!

That's my photo fail...let's see yours!

August Retro Country Rewind #MewsicMovesMe

It's been a couple years since we premiered our mewsic feature "Retro Country Rewind," a look back at favorite songs that hit #1 during that month from 30, 35, 40 plus years ago. This year we're delving into #1 hits from 1971, 1976, 1981, and so on. Let's take a look at August for this freebie week in the Mewsic Moves Me blog hop...

35 Years Ago - 1986, You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight, John Schneider

This month we're starting with 3 #1 songs from 1986, all of which I adore.

I am a HUGE John Schneider fan. He has such an incredibly beautiful voice and I wish he had remained in country music. For awhile in the mid '80s he opened shows for Conway. Women must've been passing out in the aisles!

35 Years Ago - 1986, Strong Heart, T.G. Sheppard

35 Years Ago - 1986, Nobody in His Right Mind Would've Left Her, George Strait

45 Years Ago - 1976, Golden Ring, George Jones & Tammy Wynette

55 Years Ago - 1966, Almost Persuaded, David Houston

We hope you enjoyed our picks this month!
Let us know if you have a favorite...

Miffed #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

This is the look Mommy got when she told me something happened to my squeezie order from Amazon in transit and the package was deemed undeliverable.

Does that mean some squeezies were destroyed?!?!?! I feel faint just thinking about it.

Obviously we're getting a refund and Mommy has already reordered THREE boxes to replace them, but still...somewhere out there two boxes of squeezies are ruined!!! It's simply horrifying.
