Dog Treats & Jingle Toys

Some people are so creative in the ways that they promote pet adoption. The other night I received an email from Aubree Sweeney, creator of Dog Treats and Jingle Toys, a comedy web series helping find homes for homeless pets. I loved the concept so much that I wanted to share it here today.

According to their website, "Dog Treats & Jingle Toys is a documentary style comedy web-series that will air on YouTube this January. The story follows a young woman who has just adopted her first pet from a local shelter. Although she believes that she’s the one running the show, it’s her new fur-kid that’s guiding her and their friends as they attempt to get a handle on their love lives and careers. That is, when he and their roommate’s cat aren’t getting into mischief."

They have partnered with the Nebraska Humane Society to showcase their currently adoptable pets, and to raise awareness regarding adoption, fostering and volunteering across state lines by weekly showcasing a shelter, rescue or pet friendly cause outside their area.

Here is the first episode, Bark in the Park:

I already have a favorite character...Aubree's cat She-Ra. She-Ra is in the process of writing a mystery story (She-Ra's Sagas, coming soon!), but first she is immersing herself into the world of mystery and macabre in order to get her creative juices flowing...I wonder what she's reading?

I also love this video of her from Christmas:

A new episode will be airing every Tuesday in January, so subscribe to their YouTube Channel so you don't miss a thing! You can also find Dog Treats & Jingle Toys on Facebook and Twitter.
