Take Your Pet to Work Week

Truffles: Hey, everybody! Did you know that this is Take Your Pet to Work Week? It was created back in 1999 by Pet Sitters International (PSI) to celebrate the value of pets in the workplace and encourage pet adoptions.

I thought it might be interesting to take a peek at where Mommy hangs out during the day when she's not at home catering to my every whim. Um, Mommy...kind of messy, isn't it?

Melissa: Guilty as charged. Haven't you noticed our house is on the messy side, too? That's just how I roll.

Truffles: You know what else I see...or rather don't see? Why is there a very large picture of Tara on your desk, as well as a small one and a couple pictures of Sashi, but not even one of me??? Where is MY picture???

Melissa: Guilty again. I guess I've just been too busy working on our blog to get an 8x10 made.

Truffles: You mean in almost a whole year you've never once wanted to look at my picture when you've been away from home???

Melissa: Don't be silly! I've got tons of pictures of you on my phone, and even a few printed out and tucked inside my weekly planner! But you're right, I'll get a picture of you on my desk right away.

Truffles: Promise?

Melissa: I promise.

Truffles: Poster-sized?

Melissa: We'll see, sweetie.

DH interviewed at a place that was pet friendly and while the company wasn't a great fit always thought the dog thing was wonderful. Sadly there is not way the dogs would be allowed where he works now. Thankfully, I work from home so they don't have to leave.

Truffles, you keep after her until she gets that photo made. She also has the excuse of seeing you in person efurryday. Mom says that is not a messy desk. Your mom does not qualify for that honor until no desk surface is visible. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

I didn't realize 'Take Your Pet to Work' had been around so long! I would love to see more companies participate for the fun day.

Uh-oh! Maybe a Truffles screensaver would get you of trouble! Of course, a poster would be better. : )

That's so neat! I wish I could bring they kitties (or maybe just one of them) to work with me. I don't think my boss would like that very much. MOL! Hope you had fun, Truffles!

You should TOTALLY be on your Mommy's computer screen -- like, the WHOLE screen -- Truffles. We're on Dad's computer wallpaper, and his mouse pad. Oh, and in pictures on his office wall. He says all that stuff is not a substitute for us real kitties, but he looks upon our pictures and they make him happy while he's in his office. :)

Truffles, as the subject of your Mom's blog I agree that you need a poster sized picture on her desk.
