Caturday Art

Meows from Mudpie!

It seems like whenever Mommy takes a new favorite picture of me, I like to gussy it up for my Caturday Art project. I'm not sure why...it's not like you can improve on purrfection ;)

This week I applied the "Floating" effect in LunaPic, then transferred it to PicMonkey where I played with the exposure and added a frame. It turned my autumnal tortie colors into a summery, pastel work of art!

And now our weekly answers for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader!

1. I challenge everyone to do something for an animal in need this week.

2. I regret disposing of um...not a whole lot! A trait I inherited from my mom is the inability to throw stuff away, but that's all changing! Last week I filled two big garbage bags with clothes I hadn't worn in years and brought them to Goodwill. Now I look forward to going through the rest of the house and gradually clearing out all the clutter. I've been inspired!

3. I have a difficult time admitting when I've made a mistake or could have done something better. I have a tendency to get defensive even by well-meaning, constructive criticism. Definitely something I need to work on.

4. If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be the ability to communicate with spirits. My favorite paranormal show is The Dead Files.

My human tries to work really hard on #3 - she always gets defensive at first, but if she keeps her mouth shut and lets it sink in, she finds that good criticism often contains gold!

Ooh...that is lovely! I love the happy colors! I get defensive too, but maybe not as much as when I was younger. It's something I've been working on for a long time. It's not easy!

Beautiful art. I accept that challenge. Decluttering feels good, but I have also discovered that so does keeping stuff. I have not heard of that show, I am going to look for it. I highly recommend the Long Island Medium on TLC, I think she is the real deal. Have a nice weekend!

That artwork is awesome, Mupie. But how could it not be? It features YOU!

We're going to volunteer at PAWS later today, so we will accept your wonderful challenge. :)

Your are so pretty in pastels, Mudpie! Then again, you're always pretty. And fantastic fill-ins. Your #1 is purrfect. And I've been clearing things out of my house as well, and my garage. Isn't it so refreshing? Purrs!

Beautiful art!

My mum is similar to you at no 3. She hates being told what to do and gets all defensive too.

I love your challenge! AMEN.
I must say, Bill says that I am an animal whisperer. He says it is amazing to see me communicate with them, including knowing when they are sick or what they need. I am glad that it seems to work. It is God; not me. Hugs.

Beautiful art but shouldn't you be making art out of the out of focus fotos. Oh yeah, not everyone is TW and takes those kinds of pics.
