Caturday Art

And now our weekly answers (all answered by Mommy this week) for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and Four-Legged Furballs!

1. I am able to parallel park, but I won't. It's something so many struggle with, but I never did. Then when I took my driving test the instructor couldn't find properly placed cars to do it and he just had me mimic the movements as though there were cars there. Still, I haven't done it since and go out of my way to avoid it.

2. I won't ever drive a stick shift again. My father was determined that I learn to drive a stick when he started teaching me how to drive. I could not get the hang of it, and combined with the fact that I wasn't crazy about driving in the first place, it completely ruined the experience for me. Once I got an automatic to drive I loved it.

3. The current chapter of my life would be titled Is It September Yet?

4. I've been meaning to get a bunch more stuff gathered for Goodwill but haven't yet.

Great art, Mudpie! My human actually loves driving with a stick... as much as anyone who hates driving in general can love anything about driving.

I love that sepia effect.
I have never liked parallel parking either although I can do it if I must. Stick shifts are far more common in the UK and there are more of them than automatic. I have only ever driven stick shift. Once many years ago when my car was out of action I was loaned a car and that had the stick shift on the steering column. That did cause me problems until I got used to it.

Nice artwork! When Mom took her driving test the part she failed was parallel parking. This is Mom's first automatic car...all her others were stick!

ready for this? The ONLY car I have EVER driven IS a stick shift. Can't drive an automatic. Yep, you read that correctly. I learned in a stick, my first car was a stick and every car after that.........I tried driving an automatic once and can't.

As for parallel parking, I lucked out the day of my test...the sun was obstructing the view so he passed me on that part (and I couldn't parallel park so I REALLY lucked out!)

Beautiful art Miss Mudpie. Thank you to your mom for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I can't wait for September too! I have never driven a stick, I have enough trouble with an automatic. Have a nice weekend! XO

How do you know you can still parallel park if you haven't in years? TW had a friend who who only drive a shift. We just bought a few bags to the people shelter.

Oh, I love this masterpiece! The colors, the vintage look, and that gorgeous Mudpie. Purrfection!

And your fill-ins are fantastic, as always! I'm the kind of the driver who hates driving on the interstate, but who actually enjoys parallel parking. I will largely attribute that to my driver's ed teacher, though, because he was amazing and spent extra time with each student on parallel parking. Oh, and I'm so with you on #3. Bring on September, and October, and all things autumn! And I also keep meaning to gather up a bunch of stuff to donate, because my house could really use that sort of purge. I need to get on that. Purrs!
