You can tell Lynn's age by all the songs she recognizes and likes still
today. She is no fan of today's country music.

Thanks for the nostalgia. I feel so old listening to these mostly sad songs. Long ago days. We won't have them back.

M&M,

I remember all of these with the exception of the first by Hank Williams Jr and Earl Thomas Conley's "That Was A Close One". Steve Wariner sounds more like soft rock than country. Great song set. Have a boogietastic week, furriends!

I always find it interesting how country music changes with the times. The 70's and early 80's were filled with orchestras in the arrangements. The 90's brought us back to the roots, with Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Vince Gill. I'm not sure where country is taking us now, but I'm not sure I like it much.

I must admit I am not as familiar with this MEWSic as you are, but I am aware of the celebrities. I have a hearing problem that makes high-pitched sounds painful for me. Nonethless I am very impressed with your extensive knowledge of the subject. You go, girl!

I remember that Alabama song, but not the others. It was fun to listen to your playlist, though!
