Our New Garden Kitty

Meows from Mudpie!

Back in April Mommy was shopping in HomeGoods and spotted this darling garden kitty. He was $50 so Mommy left him behind.

Sadly, by the next week he had gotten knocked over in the store and the birds had broken off. He was now on clearance but only $5 off.

For two months Mommy checked on him every time she went into the store, and last week he was marked down again so we finally adopted him.

Mommy used a silver sharpie to patch him up a little and reluctantly put him outside in the back yard. (She kinda wanted to keep him in the house but he's big.)

Grandpa joked that Mommy can't fit anymore kitty decor inside the house, so now she's buying kitty decor that can stay outside!

That's a great find. If you hadn't shown the photo with the birds, you'd never know they're missing. My favorite little purchases at Home Goods is cat-themed kitchen towels.

Adopting the "less than adoptable" kitty is always the best thing to do! Good for you ... he is adorable.

I bet this Kitty in the garden will not upset Mo once he figures out that it isn't going to move around or eat any food. I think it's really fun because now you can have birdies to watch in it.

It was meant to be, since the price came down, and it's a cute garden ornament.

Patience paid off for your Mom. We have some little boy and girl statues in our garden, but they are old and in rough shape. Mom will have to check our Home Goods store to see what she can find. Garden statuary is so expensive, just like everything else.
