Run Run Rudolph #SundaySelfie

Meows from Mudpie!

Today for Sunday Selfies, hosted by our good friends at The Cat on My Head, we have a special guest.

It's become a tradition that at Mommy's family New Year's celebration, her crafter-extraordinaire aunt plans a project for anyone who wants to participate. In 2014 they made a wool feather tree, in 2015 a tree skirt, and this year they made this adorable wine cork reindeer ornament:

It's funny, Mommy is always saying that she doesn't feel like a very creative person, but each year she goes on and on about how much fun the craft project was and how much she enjoyed it. Maybe this will be the year she attempts a little DIY on her own!

She's already trying to figure out how to make a wine cork kitty...

Goodness, that is soooooooo cute. Very well done. Can't wait to see what the Mom comes up with next. A kitty cork is a great idea. We know you can do it.

I love it! My mom wants one now! We already have the ho, ho ribbon, all we need is the rest of the stuff. Super cute!

We love that!! I'm not much of a DIY-er either, but I'd love to make one of these, and a kitty to go with it would be so cute too.

That's a great reindeer! Mom always says that many adults are way more creative that they think. It's just buried under all their adult worries!

That is too cute! I love your family's tradition - family craft time is such a great idea. And I think your idea of a wine cork kitty sounds purrfect! Purrs!

Our mom thinks this is adorable and started thinking about how to turn it into a kitty as well. Mom says just change the ears and use one of those fuzzy pipe cleaners for a tail. Can't wait to see if Mom Melissa actually tries it. We think that family tradition is a great one. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

That's a lovely tradition. I have so many friends who claim, repeatedly, that they cannot craft. I'll bet if I supplied the wine and instructions, I could convince them otherwise. Thanks for the idea!

The cork reindeer is really inneresting. Cuz TBT has about 20 qt size containers of wine corks. So he is gonna stash them in the basement with a note ta find a school that wants ta make reindeers next November.

TW could never do that and everyone thinks she’s creative. She would have no problem drinking the wine though. Heh heh.

Mom has a bit of a collection of corks, if you know what I mean. Her wheels are turning about cork kitties.
