FOOL FOR LOVE – The Adventure Begins!
Call her a fool, but chef-in-training Chloe Madison wants to have her cake and eat it too. So when her boyfriend dumps her for some French tart, she decides to start over from scratch—with a new life and a job in Sugar Creek, Vermont. What could be sweeter than cooking for an eccentric lady who’s crazy for desserts? What could be more tempting than joining a club called the Cupcake Lovers? Just one thing: local business hunk Devlin Monroe…
Although he’s the grandson of Chloe’s fun-loving boss, Devlin Monroe is all work and no play. Micro-managing the family business, he doesn’t have time to indulge in life’s sweetest pleasures—until he meets Chloe. How can he resist such a vibrant, beautiful woman who brings so much passion to the table? But when old grudges and secrets threaten to destroy the Cupcake Lovers, Devlin must decide if his feelings for Chloe are a recipe for disaster—or a sinfully delicious ever-after…
* * *
True, FOOL FOR LOVE is technically a small-town contemporary romance. And yes, the central story revolves around the hero, Devlin Monroe, and the heroine, Chloe Madison. But one of the surprise thrills of writing this story was getting to know Daisy Monroe. Devlin’s grandmother who also becomes Chloe’s employer.
Daisy is one of the senior members of the Cupcake Lovers and a respected member of the community. In the past, she’d been a bit subduedconservative even. But since the death of her husband and a bit of a health scare of her own, at seventy-plus-years-old, she’s decided to live full out in every aspect imaginable. Her eccentric new wardrobe raises a few brows, but it’s her reckless adventures that curl the hair of her relatives. Here’s a peek at her bucket, I mean “derring-do” list!
Daisy Monroe’s List of Derring-Do Musts
  • Take a snow mobile for a joy ride
  • Dance all night in a disco
  • Spit off the top of Empire State Building
  • Captain a boat at full speed
  • Build and race my own soapbox car
  • Compete on the show Cupcake Wars
  • Act in a play
  • Run my own business
  • Fall in love
Daisy’s determination to live life to the fullest continues throughout the Cupcake Lovers series. I’m hoping she will entertain and inspire each and every reader. For a chance to win a signed copy of FOOL FOR LOVE, name one thing on you derring-do (daring action) list!
